I don't mean pixel thinking in the raster sense (although there ARE hiring managers who still say "pixel perfect") but in the sense of thinking that's limited to the layout of the graphical interface (which is not only not the product but not even the entire interface)
Keeping the conversation limited to "how are we going to arrange the layout" is perfectly fine for solutionism because its understanding of any problem starts and ends at "there is no software that does XYZ and therefore we need to make it"
