to the influence of CT is like saying “everyone has prejudices.” This is technically true but also vacuous and ahistorical.
It IS accurate to associate specific political ideologies, parties, and movements with conspiratorial belief when their real-world actions are animated by those beliefs.
"Conspiracy with factual evidence" is a real thing vs. "conspiracy based on debunked falsehoods".
