Remember 10 yr old me being excited for this one only to find out I had to be 12 to go in at the time....😭
Good thing it was the age of video rentals!!😃
Great flick. My parents loved Richard Dreyfuss, so we saw everything he was in, except for Jaws, because I was deemed too young. I read the book instead. (The film was more age appropriate, actually.)
When my parents banned films and let me read whatever I wanted I don't think they knew what I was getting into with Stephen King and Peter Benchley. I will say, at age 9 I knew more about sex than anyone else in my class. I coped. (With those; reading The Exorcist at age 10 was a bridge too far.)
my mom took me to whatever was playing that week (unless it was something she wasn’t interested in seeing). She took me to see The Exorcist when I was 7 or 8, and Texas Chainsaw at around the same time.

I haven't seen this classic in more than 30 years.
Um... Hasn't it kind of already?

Yeah. I'm old.
You look fantastic!
Still love it (and the theme song).
I think it's not near as bad as people think. You start to piece together adult situations and feelings at an early age.
