Meanwhile Russia continues to openly state that foreign troops in Ukraine are unacceptable and the 4 regions of Ukraine they claim (but don't even occupy in full) are Russian territory not up for negotiation, whilst also slagging off Zelensky

IMO yesterday was an ‘art of the deal’ ploy to try & rattle Zelenskyy. Trump, Musk & Putin desperately want the rare Earth minerals (REM) deal at a price favourable for them. The hypocrisy of presenting himself as a world saviour was sickening. He wants that REM deal desperately.

Anyone who thinks that NATO is a functioning alliance with the US in it has had their head in the sand for the last month (and more).

The US under Trump must be treated as if allied to Russia.

The nato framework may still be useful for the other members but difficult with the US still present.
