In your essay, you wrote that this isn't quite a coup. You are wrong. It is a hostile takeover of our government. It is indeed a coup. We need to contact elected offiicials and bombard them, and hope this can be stopped.

True! The shock & awe is additionally ironic in that the last time I saw it trotted out was to describe Russia's initial invasion of Ukraine! Perhaps the more apt use, the rebel offensive that toppled Assad, I never saw invoked. Assad fell faster than Saddam after the "thunder run" to Baghdad...
