For one, it cuts aid to homeless veterans assistance. I think we all need a dose of the film Born On The 4th Of July for a reminder of how veterans were mistreated because that is where we are currently headed.
It took so many years, dedication and not having a family life for my dad (VietVet) to achieve GS15 at the DOD's DCMA (talk about fraud). Same with GS9 or even 7. This Cuts probably 80%+ of govt employees. Project 2025 in full swing. There goes OUR country my family fought for 4 generations for.
FYI this notification only covers 1 of 2 unions. HUD has both AFGE and NFFE. Both received the same thing. If calculations are correct this would mean a 60+% RIF for FPM. More on what they do soon.
My dad made it to G15. It is very long and rough road. Even making it to GS13, it takes years. To remove people at GS13 level and below will remove probably 75% or more of government employees. Well this is what they called out in Project 2025. Getting rid of everyone and installing loyalists
Yeah, important to note that this is a required notice to unions based on labor/management agreements. Doesn't mean that they won't fire employees outside the bargaining units -- it just means they don't have unions to inform ahead of time.
And they ignore the fact that homelessness went up almost 20% just last year. On the low estimates we have 1 million people homeless and many are mothers with young children. Two young kids froze to death in a car just last week.

Ruroh my last position the GS13s didn’t do a lot hands on. lol They would grind to a halt without the GS-11 and 12s. During the furlough it was painful for them.
