The NYPD hated him, that should have been a sign that he was a good man.

The NYPD also pushed the subway crime lie so that when Wiley said "Defund the cops" and Adams promised to stop crime, people tended to want the cops.

Uh we recall his hijacking the NYC ferry implementation. To screw Albany out of MTA revenue, he cut a corrupt plan with the EDC, cut out NY vendors, went with annout of state conglomerate underreported actual costs cost taxpayers $800b. Riders limited to top vs lower income families.

The problem is, they don’t. People who like a daddy figure at the top just love Cuomo. They explain away all the sexual misconduct allegations as coming from scheming women, which also serves to explain away the State AG’s report because, of course, scheming woman.

No idea. I thought it was explained very clearly, but that is just me. His republican opponent in the general election was Curtis Sliwa who founded the Guardian Angels. Being a local character is one thing. Mayor is another.
