Basically: I don’t think people understand that 36 hours from now it’s possible that America will have a formalized system for abducting enemies of the regime and stashing them in foreign gulags, indefinitely. www.thebulwark.com/p/bukele-abr...

MILLER: “A DOJ lawyer, who has since been relieved of duty, a saboteur, a Democrat, put into a filing that this was a mistaken removal. It was not.” Astonishing stuff — DOJ conceded even to SCOTUS that the deportation was “administrative error.” Is Trump’s Solicitor General also a saboteur?

First of all, "a saboteur"? Get a grip there, High School Himmler. Second, the Trump administration is now saying they *deliberately* sent innocent people with no criminal record to rot in a foreign prison. Going with "straight evil" over "incompetent" is a choice, I guess.

Also, GOLDMAN CEO STATES THE OBVIOUS

Oh look. Another bribery and extortion scheme.

Donald Trump wants to use your tax dollars to pay January 6th insurrectionists.

This fact should be in every news account on this case. Right now the Trump admin's spin would lead you to believe their choice is merely between leaving him in a gulag in El Salvador to rot for life; and bringing him back to roam free in the US for the rest of his life. THAT IS NOT THE CHOICE:

Trump’s only statement about Putin’s Palm Sunday Massacre was to blame Zelensky.

This is terrifying in America. ICE agents are showing up masked—these abductions must stop. If you’re going to detain someone, show your face, present a warrant, and proper ID. Disappearing people from their families without evidence or accountability isn’t law enforcement—it’s state-sponsored fear.

"I just heard about it" -- Trump opined at length about the Masters while talking to reporters this morning but played completely dumb about the arson attack targeting Gov. Shapiro

Trump went heavy on the bronzer today

"I think they hate our country" -- Bukele goads Trump into bashing the American media

I can’t believe he’s not wearing a tie. Outrageous display of disrespect.

If Abrego Garcia is such a big threat and has no legal right to be here, as Trump propagandists keep claiming, then bring him back and move to deport him properly. That is absolutely an option. Why won't they do that?

Trump has fully turned on Zelenskyy: "He's always looking to purchase missiles. Listen, when you start a war, you gotta know you can win a war. You don't start a war against somebody that's 20 times your size and then hope that people give you some missiles."

House Republicans have passed legislation that would restrict access to the ballot and eliminate online and mail-in voter registration. We need your help to stop this GOP voter suppression bill in the Senate. Tell your senators to protect voting rights by rejecting S. 128: indivisible.org/reso...

Trump says he'd like to deport US citizens to El Salvador: "I'd like to go a step further. I don't know what the laws are, we always have to obey the laws, but we also have homegrown criminals that push people into subways... I'd like to include them in the group of people to get out of the country"

Trump on his plan to impose tariffs on pharmaceuticals: "All I have to do is impose a tariff. The more, the faster the move in. It's very simple -- it's inversely proportional, the higher the tariff, the faster they come."

Congratulations to John Roberts for enabling *two* heads of state to mock you openly.

The President of the United States says that Ukraine and Zelensky started the war. bsky.app/profile/atru...

Before press came in — but while live feed was running on Bukele’s feed — Trump said to him: “home-growns are next. … You’re gonna need to build about 5 more places.” x.com/nayibbukele/...

Once again, it’s critical to say here that Republicans in Congress endorse this with their silence

El Salvador won’t return Kilmar Abrego Garcia. Meanwhile, Trump is not only refusing to bring him back—he is lying about the Supreme Court ruling compelling him to do so.

Seriously, there's a thug from El Salvador in your city right now and he's literally laughing about kidnapping Americans. Do something!

The president told a Central American dictator to build five more massive slave labor camps to hold US citizens.

Yeah, but he said it on camera into a live microphone. As long as Trump brags about his crimes openly, the media pretends there's nothing wrong. There's only something wrong when a politician covers it up, see.

I had been doubtful that we were going to have a "this is the crisis moment" with Trump, as opposed to "everything about this is a destructive catastrophe." But the Abrego Garcia case is the crisis moment. 1/

Adolf Hitler's “Mein Kampf” is still on U.S. Naval Academy shelves. “I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings” and “Memorializing the Holocaust” are not. An order by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s office led to a purge of books that are critical of racism — but preserved volumes defending white power.

“They’ve been relentlessly dismantling every single civil rights agency in the federal government, and this could be the last one standing.” Garza added that she is “prepared to challenge any attempt to illegally remove me as chairwoman.” www.politico.com/news/2025/04...

"For now, that means the tariffs are not being collected by the U.S. government..." 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ a "glitch" you say? 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ www.cnbc.com/2025/04/11/c...

Trump is destroying US weather forecasting and research because he dislikes the word "climate": "While the phrase 'climate change' refers to manmade influence on climate via planet-warming pollution, 'climate' in NOAA parlance is simply weather observed over time..." www.cnn.com/2025/04/11/c...

BREAKING: An immigration court determined our client Mahmoud Khalil to be removable from the U.S. based solely on his political speech. The fight isn't over — we'll keep fighting for Mahmoud's freedom and all of our First Amendment rights in federal court.

The statement by the team of Columbia University graduate and legal green card holder Mahmoud Khalil is heartbreaking. Anyone who cares about freedom of speech should be against the Louisiana judge ruling to deport him.

This is a very good point that I haven't seen made yet. It's not just Trump that is undermining trust in the US. It is also the inability of US institutions to stop him. And even if you make that "inability to stop him so far," it's already too far to maintain trust.

Don’t worry—getting social security checks will work just as well as X support

Here’s the bottom line - we need to take power out of Republican hands. Wherever we can. However we can. Independent Dan Osborn can do that in Nebraska. And WE can help. There is a real chance to flip a red district, IF the Osborn campaign has the resources. So LFG. 👇 actl.ink/daosbsen4325...

Kilmeade: All these deals are going to be better Jessica: I don't know why you think that's going to be the case. Trump says we have raw deals with Canada and Mexico. He negotiated the USMCA himself. He doesn't have a track record of doing this.

New REI CEO Mary Beth Laughton issues an apology saying the company shouldn't have signed a letter of support for the nomination of Doug Burgum for Interior Secretary, and is now retracting their endorsement. Uh. Too little, too late. Donald Trump spelled this stuff out before he was elected.

Hey Times writers, in case you ever wondered what you would do during an authoritarian, Soviet-style "crackdown on higher education," it turns out the answer is friendly interviews with the architects about their political strategy
