There was a time, boys and girls, when tickets from all airlines on the same route cost exactly the same, and you could take your ticket from Airline A, walk down the concourse, and get on the same flight from Airline B, no problem.
I will never understand why that changed.

When I was a kid, on dad’s day off, we used to dress up in jackets and ties to go downtown to do stuff.
