We need further action to achieve compliance with World Health Organization guideline limits, as well as a #Diesel & #WoodBurning phase-out.

We do indeed need further action to achieve compliance with World Health Organization guideline limits & we refer specifically to Silvertown Tunnel. TfL monitoring is inadequate, hasn’t kept pace with the science and they exclude PM2.5 in their modelling. @london.gov.uk

If only exhaust emissions are being considered for PM2.5 then a good comparison is that Ecodesign stoves in the UK emit around the same (1.17ktonnes) as all car exhaust emissions (1.11ktonnes). Yet 817,000 Ecodesign Vs 32.2 million cars. So 1566.5g per Ecodesign annually, 34.5g per car exhaust.

Exactly! Great news, however it only mentions NOx, NO2 and PM2.5 emissions “from vehicle exhausts.” PM2.5 from wood burning in many parts of London is likely to far exceed vehicle exhausts. Certainly the case in #Surbiton @eddavey.libdems.org.uk Stinks of #WoodBurning here most days, often 50µg/m³+
