The MPC probably has no mechanism to remove its own members, and the WIP membership consists of the MPC, which is dumb.
Now, the WSFS could remove members, if the WSFS actually existed.
Of course Standlee being reprimanded for the dumb but true things he said is awesome.

Technically, WIP could remove members - it has no waiting period for changing its bylaws, and minimal notice periods for calling a meeting. It'd need a 2/3s majority, but it's legally capable of passing a motion breaking its directorships away from MPC/WSFS *entirely*, if it so wants.

Of course, using that to kick off people who need kicking off would require admitting that they have, at least purportedly, transferred ownership of Worldcon and the Hugos to a body that is only controlled by WSFS so long as it *chooses* to be.

It's been lost in all the other mess, but I'd argue that the biggest legal mess here is that if anyone ever manages to get even a temporary 2/3s majority on the MPC, they can swipe Worldcon and the Hugos from WSFS *permanently*. And, again, WSFS never held a member vote to authorise the transfer.

Reprimand is usually considered less severe than censure: reprimand is "come on, dude, that was a terrible idea", censure is "we are formally slapping your wrist for having done that thing"
