DOGE has been sending their mass emails from a misconfigured server, causing DOGE emails to fail SPF (Sender Policy Framework) validation.

This means that agencies are probably marking DOGE emails as spam.

The funny thign about this is this is totally a mistake I would make.

When setting up my personal email server, at home, and after testing would be terribly embarrassed by. You know, one of those 'oh shit, right, I should have figured that out'.

These people will claim that it's someone else.

...and that's only the starting line, .gov by default requires SPF, DKIM, _and_ DMARC by default unless/until they disable those records, it's (for damn good reason) one of the strictest TLDs on the planet.

They don't understand anything about how IT systems work, let alone the strict policies of USGov IT. There's a reason why govt IT is so slow to upgrade, because everything goes through a million control gates before it's implemented.
