Research at a nature reserve showed that 80% of dog owners ignored signs asking for dogs to be kept on a lead during nesting season. So I think the answer is the vast majority of dog owners are selfish, entitled and don't care about wildlife
Too bad the sign doesn’t say it’s nesting season. I’m an off leash pup owner & think leaving poop bags on trails is wrong. I don’t take insult to the statement that a vast majority of dog owners are selfish ..etc because I know this not to be true. Pups need exercise and leash walking
How would you describe dog owners ignoring the needs wildlife? I have had horrible abuse from dog owners when I've asked them to put their dogs on a lead in a small section of a nature reserve during nesting season after I've seen their dogs chasing birds - nasty, aggressive entitled
The population of foxes is tiny compared to dogs, so the birds do not face constant harassment from foxes. And I was wrong, It's 85% of dog owners who feel entitled to let their pets harrass wildlife https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s11252-024-01568-4
isn’t enough for some breeds. Cities that don’t understand this and don’t allocate space for pups to roam and run set up the situation for folks like you to get pissed off. I do understand what you’re saying but I think there is another way to communicate the message. And litter is disgusting !
You are displaying exactly the entitled attitude I've seen so often. You don't get to pollute the environment and harass wildlife because you own a dog
Again, I’m not in the least insulted by your comments or attitude. You dislike dogs running around sniffing and roaming. My pups poop within the first 5 minutes they are out for their run. Yep, I’m entitled to ensure my pups get regular vigorous exercise. I’ve never read a report that dogs are are
