This is beyond heartbreaking. I don’t know if you watched the Americas with Tom Hanks narrating, but even though we all know the importance of our wetlands and forests, it was heartbreaking to think that all of this could be destroyed by one mad man.

I live in timber country, and the saw mills around here have been shut down for thirty years. There's never been less logging.

I've never seen less logging. Every sawmill in this region has been closed 30+ years.
Our forests need major attention. Which includes logging. It's why fires get so out of control.
