In 2024, AEW could "only" sell 50,000 tickets to All In at Wembley Stadium & it was treated like a disaster. In 2025, WWE brought back the Rock early because they can't hit 30,000 for Toronto's Skydome & no one seems to care. Just noticing.

It’s still weird to me that a 5 year old company gets compared to a 50 year old company. AEW filled a 70K Wembley before its 4 year anniversary. That should have ended all of the criticism about their ability to fill venues.
Part of it is that it’s easy to criticize when it is fewer year over year.
Those people neglect to realize that WWF took something like 30 years to have a WrestleMania that had a bigger attendance (Kayfabe or otherwise) than WrestleMania 3.
And let's not forget that all throughout 2024 there was "discord in the locker room," and now WWE has an ACTUAL ISSUE with its working crew...and few people are talking about it.
People forget that AEW exists because many people didn't think anyone other than WWE could fill a 10k seat arena. Meanwhile, it's now 2025 and 13,000 at an Australian show in a city that isn't Sydney or Melbourne is considered a cataclysmic failure by those same dickheads.
And people forget how difficult has been for years for any company not named wwe to sell out those kind of venues. TNA at best did something like 13k by giving away tickets for free.
TNA's best domestic numbers was 7600 (and even then something like 6700 paid) for one ppv and their best international numbers were 8k in the UK for an untelevised event.
Wwe and rock are great, but survival of the world is on display in terms of trump: king, crazy man, or just plain evil is playing out in the USA. That might be more important.
Let's be fair here, if AEW had very public connections to a government that's openly hostile to the country they're trying to run in then I bet they would sell way less tickets.
If AEW did literally any of the horrible things WWE is known to have done, the IWC would have started a gofundme to hire an assassin from the dark web to kill Tony Khan.

That being said, you’re absolutely right. Which is why I say the comparison is ridiculous. AEW’s growth has been super rapid.
50,000 AEW fans = indy mudshow
WWE has gaslit their audience into wanting to pay more for less.
I know I'm not even trying anymore but, to be fair, neither are they.
Pretty much guarantee Wembley is larger than the skydome.
