I didn't realize that *six* attorneys at DOJ have now resigned after being told to drop the charges against Adams. Bove responded to their principled stand against brazen corruption by threatening to investigate them for ethics violations. He also hinted at criminal charges.

Seriously, because I feel like the end game is just that a completely complicit puppet eventually gets installed, and then it happens, and it’s just legal? And then dems will fret, and ho hum about it, and continue to do nothing meaningful in opposition. I hope I am wrong, but I’m not optimistic.

I never get why they don't go forth with something like that - and this goes for any of these resignation protests.

I'm sure in some regards there's a likely explanation, but also like force their hand?

I'm really struggling to get this as well. It seems like the two options are roughly equivalent except one makes them say the bad thing out loud. Maybe I'm missing something.

I definitely would want to hear them tell their side. The consequence is probably forfeiture of benefits if fired.

I probably shouldn’t conjecture at all. I would love to hear them talk about it.

Resigning because you refuse to do something is called resigning in defiance. She didn’t “resign in accordance.”

I get it, you want something more noble like resignation in sacrifice. Or perseverance by firing squad.
