Thanks for the vote of confidence, Canada. But only half of us are decent lovers of democracy. The other half voted for the moral rot you are seeing at the current heart of the U.S. government.

Half of those who voted, you mean. The 90+ million who voted for Stein, or could have voted (and weren't actively suppressed) but didn't bother, are just as reaponsible for the rot.
To be fair, only ~30%? The electoral college is totally asinine and is apparently designed to let the minority rule as you now see ...
BTW #Canada isn't much better, #FPTP (First Past the Post) voting is horrible. #fairvote #rankchoicevoting are better systems if we can get them into place.
25% of Americans voted for Trump, 25% for Harris and 50% of Americans are just too damn lazy and can’t be bothered to vote, which is honestly just as bad as voting for Trump.
Trump supporters don’t represent half of all Americans. Our system is so twisted, corrupt and broken, that it favors a minority in many ways. Many of our citizens are also woefully checked out and/or misinformed. Our mainstream media also actively seeks to confuse and divide us.
Actually you are Wrong! 3 million votes were thrown out! Gee I wonder who they voted for? Then tragically so many people didn't vote. Now t is admitting this last election was rigged. The regime wants us to focus on fighting each other
Michael.
Let's work on those myths we keep perpetuating.
Maga is at best 1/3
The Dems were about the other third.
There were 19 million voters last time, who didn't vote this time. They sat this one out.
The simple fact is if you had more people out to vote tRump would have lost.
Not even half of you voted against it. That's the part that makes it impossible to trust any of you. Half the voters chose this. Half the people, didn't care enough to vote.
Again, the numbers for Donnie and his Douche-bags are not half, never have been. We've been played, call it: From Russia With Love. We are not done, promise!
You will find me, at the demonstration - to get my fair share of abuse. Or as it was when we also sung - I won't give in an inch to fear, for I promised myself this year- and I feel, like I owe it - to someone.... (Almost Cut My Hair, CSN)
More than half of us didn't vote at all. Half the eligible voters brought us the current administration, but that's still a minority of the population.
Really, of citizens who can vote 1/3 are awesome, 1/3 are a mix of suckers and seditious fucks, and 1/3 just don’t give a fuck. Those people who stay home on election day are a problem.
Actual only 31% of the voting population voted for the idiot some now call President donOLD Jerk tGUMP. A large number did not vote at all ( shame on them), and more voted for someone other than him.
That's true. 68 per cent did not vote for Trump because there was a percentage of those people who were just to complacent to vote for anyone. So let's just say that was only a third of those that didn't vote. So as far as I am concerned, they placed a vote for Trump! 54%! Better than half!
You are completely discounting active voter suppression, which has been well documented. Some voters had to stand in line 11 hours to cast their vote, and it was against the law to provide them with a bottle of water. It’s reductive to say it was just complacency.
And we don’t hate you, we also hate the bastards you speak of,we need the help of people like you to shut down these https://bastards.so please don’t give up on us.
You're forgetting the 1/3+ that just bury their head in the sand, don't vote, and don't participate.
I argue against that behavior because it's just learned helplessness... but can you fully blame them when the system's been crushing them forever?
Nope. 250 million did NOT vote for Trump and considering how much he’s in Russia’s pocket, the chances are pretty good there was election interference. We may not be as awful as that.

People who thought their vote didn’t matter. That it would make a statement against Biden’s policies.
But, now, it appears they are seeing their worst nightmare coming true.
We hope they join the resistance.

Trump got only 31.7% of the votes from eligible voters; not even 1/3. It's not what we call a "mandate".
The issue?
36% of the eligible voters didn't vote

Conversely I am very impressed by Canada.
You would reach more people, when you add a good description into the Alt-text field.
That is pretty easy, especially, when your image just contain text.
This way, you support visually impaired people and everyone else, who rely on a good filled Alt-text.

Stop sane washing the whole thing.
Thank you so much for not labeling all Americans as one of them. 💔
31.8% of Americans who were registered to vote voted for Trump and for this chaos. I don't understand them.
36.1% of Americans who were registered to vote did not vote. I also don't understand them.
Everyone else COMBINED = 29%. So it really isn’t half of all Americans, is it?
92% of the 13% of ⚫️women voted for Harris.
I'm encouraged to learn that only ~1/4 voted for Chump, if you include non-voters.
