Just fyi: It is a violation under the Fourth Geneva Convention to pose with prisoners.
Not that anyone in this administration gives a fuck about rules...

@kaine.senate.gov
I don’t know who is supposed to point this out, but the dog murderer that @kaine.senate.gov voted for has been posing for pix with prisoners while she’s wearing a $60k Rolex and hair extensions. Is there someone to contact regarding this violation?
So it doesn't apply here. Unfortunately.
The civilized world knows how depraved that was, that's why things like that are in the treaty.
No one asked whether the girlfriend was killed too, or whether her family, or the neighbors, were crushed in the rubble of her building. Were they among the 53 known killed in those first days? If so that thread is prima facie evidence of a
WAR CRIME !
I have to note that a search for "photograph" did not turn up the protection in the OP. The ban does apply to posing with POWs, but that's in the Third Geneva Convention. The people we're rounding up aren't POWs, so #3 doesn't apply.
I have not done a deep dive, but I believe many of the protections for POWs also apply to internees.
The 4th convention was largely a result of German and, especially, Japanese treatment of internees and civilians in occupied territories.
Please feel free to fix that. #generalstrikenow
But since we're not at war the Alien Enemies Act doesn't apply, so putting them in that prison is the crime.
International Criminal Court (ICC): The ICC has jurisdiction to prosecute individuals who commit genocide, war crimes, and crimes against humanity.
Didn't realize this, but she is shameless and uncaring!
The US are in good company: Israel, North Korea, Yemen, Belarus, Rwanda, Nicaragua, China, Turkey, Libya and Iraq to name a few.
