That being said, I know Nathan is a huge fan of FF and is truly excited, and I ultimately I refuse to piss on his chips, that feels like the right approach.

Don't let your grumpiness (that I share also) get in the way of someone's genuine joy.

seeing as I don't play these cards I have been trying to ask fans when they play them "why does this do that? what's the lore?" and seeing the enthusiasm and energy of people makes it really hard to hate

Tbh I was really hoping Aetherdrift would pop into Rabiah. It'd be a great way to get a little peek without having to commit anything too much to it. I was close with Amonkhet, though.
