The title is quite a bit better than the article itself, I agree. But the idea of compensating those who provide/collect the data that fuels so much of our modern world I think is one that should be discussed more.

... yes. not simple. maybe needs a better starting point, or a few extra. this article is vague on many things, does not elaborate on possible downsides etc.
