I’ve never watched a Revenge of the Nerds movie in full but I’ve skimmed through a few and the impression I got was that it was exactly like reading a Ramaswamy tweet

The best engineers I've seen are the ones that think so weirdly that you just know any problem you're stuck on they'll have a solution within seconds. It's not that they're necessarily smart, they just look through drastically different eyes and see through shit that blocks normies
Honestly I’m tired of hearing this nonsense. How would you know? This is just a tedious stereotype. “Probably” doing some heavy lifting here. What you do need is to fund public education better
Every push to "improve" US education in my lifetime has led to more standardized tests (which penalize creative thinking) and less education in the arts, so it is reasonable to assume that is what Ramasway intends.
More funding would help, but it will not encourage creative thinking on its own.
The 1st guy who said, "What if the rocket just disassembles and reassembles itself across space before only *some* of the astros grab some rocks & bail on a tiny subship that splits & flips & reassembles more times before the last scrap drops into the ocean?" must have silenced the fuckin' room.
I think its possible for two things to be true. sometimes a business might hire from os for extraordinary skill. but sometimes they do it for a more controllable workforce.
Oh no they’re both true. Australia’s version is the 457 visa. It’s ALL about control of the workforce. It’s just that in the US it’s also professional jobs that are being heavily covered
STEM teaches people how to think. Once they learn to think, they don't want to work for the billionaire abusers in the USA. Thus we need exploitative h1b visas.

either 1) Americans have an IQ deficit
or 2) American culture is inadequate
But neither are true.
We need more abstract art in our schools.
