Several people have confirmed that Valve is aiming to release new standalone, wireless VR headset (codename Deckard) by the end of 2025. The current price for the full bundle is set to be $1200. Including some "in-house" games (or demos) that are already done.

If not.... Why? If not going to be the best of the best, why bother making another version of the Quest?
Especially with standalones dodgy tracking when integrating with lighthouse controllers and tracking.
I can't wait to see the Deckard tbh.
And I would also prefer much more to buy from my beloved Valve than from the horror that is Facebook.
I don't expect to get VR soon tho
People buy phones for that much money. The ROG Ally is pretty popular even though it costs more and is just a Steam Deck with Windows with a bit more power.
I mean people wil buy feet and waist trackers. get haptic feedback vest and controllers. So a fancy pricey headset that does a great job, isn't that crazy.
It doesn't make sense to see today's stats (most don't recommend an Index these days), so here's a screenshot from steams top selling back in 2022:

Have passed on a lot headsets hoping to scratch off my checklist. Hope Valve can do it.
$1200 is a fair compared to current high-end release points (spec dependent)
