I do like the idea of playing flatscreen games in VR. It is a more flexible experience being able to move the screen anywhere. I'm more excited about 3D stuff though, but I'm not sure if that's Valve's focus. It would be something new and cool though.

If those claims are true that meta is blocking openxr stuff, then it's cemented that I won't purchase a meta product.

Also, AMD, your previous naming scheme was good. I liked it. I personally thought it was better than Nvidia's. It's stupid you made your naming scheme similar to Nvidia's.

We'll see what the shelves look like I guess. I'm glad they at least made the gap bigger from Nvidia.

Cool. I guess. I would have been happier if it was another $50 lower.

Place your bets on whether or not AMD just undercuts Nvidia by $50 again and changes nothing. You want the 9070 to disrupt? $400. Maybe $500. Bam. You won there. Hope your inventory is good.

Back in September 2023, I wrote an essay/script rant about what I think is currently wrong with VR. I do find it funny that a lot of 2023's issues are still present. I'm like really close to just saying "fuck it I'll do it myself" cause I'm tired of these horrid takes I see from mainstream.

Alright. Rant time based on Valve Deckard leaks. I agree with some but a headset with a main selling point being a steam deck on your face may not seem that appealing. "So what if the screen is bigger" I see some say. I really wonder if Valve is working on something to do with 3D in gaming.

Had to deal with this in my senior project. We were using hall effect sensors for magnet presence detection and it was just so damn noisy. We ended up switching to magnet switches which were so much better for our purposes.

Wish raspberry made a pico with a shit load of ADC pins like the esps have. That's like the only reason to go esp over pico. Analog multiplexers are fucking annoying to work with.

Fuuuuuck micro center literally carries these flex sensors. So fucking tempting. Just modify the lucidvr firmware and you could use these... doesn't seem that hard

The shit that EOZ is working on is the kinda shit that I want to develop. That glove is actually fucking sick and it costs less than a pair of Index controllers. I hope that cost includes tundras, but not sure. Looking at the CES picture, I feel like I can see how it works. You could probably DIY it

No Time Two Talk is one of those worlds that is so amazing but very much needs a better matchmaking system. Too many people use that world to troll, harass, and speed date. It's almost like the less people in the world, the better. You talk to the same people over and over and know what to do.

I think I just found my escape from Bluestacks...

Twitch is cementing that they will never be like youtube

It's really stupid that software that controls lighting hardware on many of our PCs often triggers Anti Cheat software. Their solution is to just turn off the software, which is lazy on the Anti Cheat side.

I say this as an artist that could get a huge following on Twitter (700k+), let it go. The sooner you leave and build an audience elsewhere, the better. Not forcing people to do, but just seeing the comments I got on now, ew. Your audience will comeback slowly BUT surely. Glad to be on Bluesky.

I just learned that the John Cena Bing chilling meme was an ad for the fast and furious movie.

When I can say open ended shit like "hey google, I need a ride home" and it figures everything out all on its own asking few follow up questions. I will then agree that it's good. For now, google Gemini is trash and assistant is way better at it's job.

Like holy duck why did you change what is so fucking good. You shove Gemini in my face so fucking much yet it's so fucking bad at doing it's job and mouths off way too much.

Another example of why Google Gemini sucks:

I switched to my Index for the first time in months, since getting the Beyond. First thing I noticed was how heavy the Index is. Second thing I noticed was the Screen Door Effect. Playing Beat Saber, I found sound quality to be similar. Smoothness about the same. Beyond is more comfortable.

There are definitely bots on this platform, although they aren't porn bots like on Twitter.
