Your article says the claims that wokeness cost Dems the election are coming from leftists.

Stewart, on the other hand, ran a montage of centrist and conservative pundits saying it.

Totally agree that these conversations shouldn't be why she lost but why he won. His celebrity status is part of what validates the racism, sexism, etc. of his devoted followers.

I think these reasons are spot on. I'm particularly interested in how to come back from #4, personally. Buying mainstream outlets in particular has to be a strategic move to delegitimize these institutions to funnel more people into the echo chambers.

Interesting to see the parallel between US and UK with this. As the traditionally centre-right party (Republican/Conservative) have lurched to the extreme fringes, the centre-left have responded by moving right with them, essentially filling their previous position.

And it makes no sense as a long term strategy, b/c alongside alienating your own traditional voter base, you're simply never going to sufficiently convert traditional centre-right voters in this tribalistic political landscape. It feels like 'the left' no longer really exists in a meaningful way.
