it wasn't covid tests. it was the machines that process the tests, which is a billion times worse. American's had to wait for their results while Poutain was prioritized
Trump is Putin's poodle.
Trump looks to Putin for directions and approval.
Pathetic. Dangerous. Unacceptable.
Trump belongs in prison, not in the White House.
This tells me nothing about what she thinks she can actually accomplish as president, or how she'll achieve whatever goals she has. "Trump bad" is not a policy. Not to mention she's already admitted she will continue the genocide that's leading to WW3.
ID NOW was not and is not the top of the line test. It is a reasonably accurate "point of care" test system used for screening. It is a platform for several tests, e.g. flu. The machines were already in existence in hospitals and labs for other tests.
He needed the test supplies. He probably needed a machine(s) too.
But when Abbott started making test "kits" (the supplies used to run COVID tests on ID NOW), it made shitloads of them quickly, so that wasn't much of an issue. *Distribution* and *quality* were issues though.
In particular the tests that were used for "sick and dying Americans" were genetic tests, which were always available, after CDC corrected its initial fuck-up with bad reagents. That was resolved very early on, maybe March 2020, early April at latest.
If he was sending tests to world leaders, they should have gone to-spitballing here-our actual allies. Remember then that tests were lacking for our healthcare workers, like my sister working overnight in the ICU of mainly Covid patients sent from all over our region—long before vaccine access.
I don't think the ID NOW machines were in short supply at all. Abbott developed new test materials for the existing platform and I didn't think they had any particular difficulty ramping up.
It's unseemly to send Putin test kits but hard to imagine any real effect on US care providers.
Do you think it’s fair to say that this commercial is simply one example of the bigger issue that Trump cares more about Putin than the American people?
Just one so-called “hard to imagine effect” would be real to a person who had to go without. And it’s far beyond “unseemly” for Trump to secretly send tests to Putin, especially because of Trump’s pattern of behavior regarding his pal in Russia before 2016, through his term, & even now. Appalling.
I mean I'm glad that health care providers in your area all had easy access very early to test kits, but I can assure you for home healthcare workers in the Knoxville area going into nursing homes, they were in short supply.
Do you even know what I'm talking about? The Abbott ID NOW system is a tabletop box that runs a particular type of test, but it can run tests for a variety of pathogens like RSV and strep. Abbott developed additional materials to use with that "box" to test for COVID.
This is the way I've seen it since it happened. Putin looked totally satisfied and Trump looked totally knackered after their two intimate private hours together, but Putin's penis must have been sore.
Reposted here, but I want to share on Meta platforms. How do I extract the video? If I copy/paste a link to your post, the ad doesn't display so will get passed over.
Wasn’t it a COVID 19 testing machine? It was the actual machine that processed Covid tests from what I heard. I don’t think DonOLD Trump is human, never mind American.
Dictators around the world want Trump to win! Putin, Lukashenko, Kim Jong Un, Víktor Orban, Xi Jin Ping, Bashar al-Assad...the list of tyrants rooting for 'Golden Showers Donald' is practically a who's who of the global autocratic elite.
And with more potential pandemics on the way, like avian flu, would you really trust #Trump to manage it responsibly and with our health and safety in mind? Nope, nope, nope.
As Musk said, this is the last election in America, when Trump wins you can expect an endearing, enduring leadership that like Kim and Vlad, who hate elections too!
I would prefer that it used the word 'equipment' instead of tests, so that the viewer does not immediately think of three or four small cardboard boxes rather than a set of medical hardware.
I don't care for Trump, but the world would be a happier place if the US stopped its wars - making friends with Russia is the only sensible long-term option.
The US is not responsible for all wars everywhere, nor is it responsible for peace, famine, disease, disaster, or every other ill in the world. The US has enough responsibility for what it does do without everything else, thank you.
That's a strawman. It isn't responsible for it all, of course, just most of it.
It hoards much more money than is needed, for example, to stop famine, and the pernicious selling of seeds that cannot be reused has aggrivated famines horribly, as just one example.
Unfortunately, in real life, lines have to be drawn and defended. Social, territorial, what have you. Peace is absent of conflict. Want peace, just give into every whim of others; sell out your beliefs, allies, families no matter how absurd the ask and you'll have the peace you're advocating.
Yeah we cant have real peace so long as warmongering nations exist on this earth, china and russia can only be made peace with when they stop their imperialist spree.
Probably not. In addition to having problems listening and thoughtfully analyzing his remarks, his Trumpkin cult members are also detached from reality and unable to admit the man has lost his damn mind. 🤨

Trump's mission is to repeal all sanctions on russia and to destroy America from within

Why he sent some to Putin, who knows, but that sounds like a relatively harmless Trump thing as Trump things go.
I don't really see the point in this particular ad.
He sent the best, top of the line tests that we really needed! 🤬
The standard is PCR, which is 99%+ accurate.

A real citizen would call for death.

Because that is what this commercial is about.
tell us you're a feckless contrarian with no fucking clue about anything without actually saying it
I thought it was very fitting.

Nice
Sick to the bone. Be aware though that this Elon Musk guy is even worse!
Totally corrupted by a stack of dollars
