I agree, and some contract it is with people spending an absolute ton of 💰 to get to the UK in the first place. I think for the fees that people have been paying, this is absolutely criminal

Once you've started the process of moving, working, settling, then surely any changes introduced as now would make law backwards applicable and therefore unjust (example: new income thresholds for those already here weren't affected).
