A good thing about the skulker is the surface to paint was really small, so it was fast. The worst thing is the surface to paint is not large enough to really sell the effect. I think the Schrek should feel the opposite way

Thanks! Painting that king crab in dazzle already made me vow to never paint another mech in dazzle again. Now, I find large polygonal camo, much easier to execute, however and, if the colors are well chosen, really striking. But even a bi-color scheme such as lyran guards can look amazing.

One of the biggest conceits that I want to work up to is doing single limb alternate paint jobs so that it looks like a mech had a part or two that got grabbed from the pick and pull/scrapyard.

Y’know, like one sees on Toyota light duty pickups that people actually use to work.

I particularly want to do it with either feet for jump jet mechs (Death From Above! attacks are COOL but they gotta be HELL for the mechanics) or weapons on mechs where that specific weapon swap is a common variant.

But yeah, it feels like it would instantly give a mech history.
