Ok, phase 3 is now underway. Let's get started laying down the base pattern for a Dazzle style pattern Schrek PPC carrier #Battletech I don't think I will paint turrets separately in other tanks, but the barrels would really get in the way when painting this vehicle unless I do.

This Block&Key looked like a family-level boardgame from the outside. Short manual, a gimmicky 3d board and piling up physical Tetris pieces. But the placement rules not allowing overhanging pieces, and forcing you to place a taller piece if it touched a previously placed one made it brainburny!

I admit painting the Skulker had me worried, since doing this camo on the King Crab was a miserable experience. But painting such a small model was much more enjoyable. I didn't hate myself for daring to choose camo this time! Next, a Schrek PPC carrier. That will be more daunting. #battletech

Boardgame night was alright! Ascending Empires was an original take on 4X (flicking? Really?) and while better than expected, I also found it could be more frustrating than other 4Xs such as Eclipse. While the Spanish publisher doesn't deserve a cent of my hard earned money, it is a solid production

I've got a dilemma. I was looking forward to purchasing Earthborne Rangers + extras, but a single game can go up to 4hours and, for roughly 2/3rds of the price, I could get Dune Imperium Uprising+Bloodlines and GloomHaven Buttons&Bugs for the narrative fix instead. Wwyd? #JuegosDeMesa #Boardgames

The main paint layers for my Skulker Wheeled Scout Tank are done! The base coat has been brightened up leaving only the panel lines in the dark colors. It is still far from done, since it still needs two edge highlighting passes to bring the geometry of the model back to the forefront! #battletech

My first #Battletech vehicle is now roughly basecoated with the "panel line" colors of this paintscheme. Next comes planning out the stripes that will turn this into the proper base for a Dazzle camo scheme.
