Is Silo worth watching if you’ve already read the books? (I don’t mind knowing the general plot as long as the show adds something more to the experience.)

I'm sort skeptical about the new elements added by the show cuz they're kinda hokey. Also, Rebecca Ferguson & Steve Zahn are good, but many of the other actors are pretty meh, esp. Common & Tim Robbins (who has been good in other things, but not here IMHO).
I read the books after the first season, and the show is different enough (because TV<>books and has different storytelling needs) to make it worthwhile on its own merits.
Having read all three books plus the supplemental short stories I’d say yes. The visualization of the settings, story modifications, and reordering of the story’s elements for television all make it interesting. Juliette is well represented by Rebecca Ferguson.
I’d say yes (I’ve read the first book and watched the first season). To me the setting inside the silo is one of the most captivating parts of the story, and the show does a good job with that. I’d describe the show as a kind of sci fi film noir.
