Pondering: how would we (Americans) react if we assumed: 1) Congress, including the opposition, is not capable of materially meaningful opposition 2) The courts are too slow to stop most of this damage 3) Most Americans’ lives will, very shortly, be materially worse bc of this administration

The original (official) basis for anti-LGBT discrimination in federal workforce was that these people were susceptible to blackmail. Bit of a "hundred flowers" situation here - feds created tolerant spaces for trans people, now anyone in those spaces can be fired.

At a quick glance, I don't see any stipulations for kicking out one of the "Second Parties" to the UKUSA treaty like Canada. The US could certainly terminate the agreement, but that wouldn't prevent the other four members from continuing separately. media.defense.gov/2021/Jul/15/...

Technically, Ukraine would not be able to sign this given the negative pledge clauses in their loan agreement with the @worldbankgroup.bsky.social (and other creditors). The clause prevents other creditors from seizing assets before the World Bank.
