Yes, this. So many people are not getting appropriate help, and healing, because of the lack of awareness and understanding about dissociative disorders. And healing can’t begin until a DID system feels believed and safe enough to be authentic, especially those within who are hurting the most.

Trauma informed practice matters, because if you treat a dissociative disorder like a personalty disorder, things will get exponentially worse-- & that's the kind of hole created by bad therapy that real survivors spend years crawling out of. I've seen it.
