It's actually very frustrating that instead of giving Biden credit for the hostage deal, everyone will just say "well this is Trump pulling an Iranian hostage crisis." Maybe it is, maybe it isn't, but don't assign credit where it isn't deserved.

No, it's not so straightforward, and this deal wouldn't have been agreed by Israel without immense political pressure from both outgoing and incoming administrations. The politics wouldn't have worked domestically in Israel without it.

Credit or blame are assigned regardless. Biden blamed for Bibi's excesses, for example. Oversimplification. This removes a 'win' from TFG's column by assigning it to Joe. Will it matter? To some, yes.

Let's look back in a few months for a cleary picture if Israelis got a deal to help bomb Iran or West bank annexation it might make sense. However, if that dosesn't happen I will credit Trump for imposing a deadline and getting it. I have to be fair.
