I did that. I do not recommend getting those two vaccines at the same time. The shingles arm felt like a heavyweight had punched it the rest of my body felt fatigued.
My second Shingrix dose hurt a little, but nothing like the first.
Yes, Shingrix can be brutal pain and fatigue-wise. I just had pain but it sure beats getting shingles. I usually recommend getting multiple vaccines at a time but maybe not with Shingrix. I’ve done some clinics at senior living facilities and some of em are all “screw it. gimme 2 in each arm!” lol
Sorry about your Mum. Mine had it pretty bad too, and the neuropathy really hit her QOL. I urge all of us 50+ to get it. An RX can override (no need if you’re immunocomped). This is US, not sure about Canada. Plus, if you’re in the US, get all your vax’s now b4 they’re outlawed (semi kidding)
My rheumatologist gave me the RX.
Thank you. My Mum had horrible, disfiguring RA and was in constant agony. The post shingles neuropathy was the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back.
