For all the people in this thread who don’t know how cellular systems work - there is no way to avoid the big 3. All those other companies buy their service from the big 3. Almost no small networks exist anymore (there are a few but they are hyper-regional).
Look guys. They have us by the balls. As long as the paradigm of a few corporate owners owning EVERYTHING exists, it will NEVER be possible to become a perfectly moral consumer -- no matter who, or how much, you boycott.
Yep.
All the national home improvement chains actively support the right, but my local store ownership does as well.
Sometimes there is no good option.
I’m not advocating one way or the other. Just pointing out they’re all bad and u less you build out your own towers there is nothing we can do about it.
Remember Trump’s first term when TMobile and Sprint were merging and Trump said he’d block it , so then a bunch of TMobile execs spent a shitload of money at his DC hotel and suddenly he changed his mind?
They don't use t mobile, my phone says Verizon. They used sprint infrastructure until t mobile bought them out. Then migrated to verizon. Have to use big comm infrastructure like all alternative mobile services.
Screw them all. If you want your money to do good, go to Credo. Been with them, formerly Working Assets, for decades. Check them out. https://www.credodonations.com/
They now use Verizon. They used Sprint until t mobile bought them out and have been moving to Verizon. They don't have their own infrastructure so have use someone else's, like many other mobile companies.
Less than surprising when starlink has been powering their android satellite phone connect shit since testing of it God knows how long ago. Not everyone follows phones or tech though. This has been done for a while.
I’m on mint because I’m poor. The service is usually 2 bars, but it’s fast enough for me to stream movies. I did the 3 month trial at $15, then prepaid a year for $360. After my $25 work reimbursement, It costs me only $5 per month now. Well worth it.
Ummm... Isn't Mint a T-Mo NVMO? I'd make sure you switch to a network that uses AT&T or VZW's networks. (Sadly, where I live, GCI uses not only T-Mobile's network, but has been bolstered by Starlink for over a year now. Great coverage, but it sucks that I'm helping Elon).
I hate to ask, but what's wrong with T-Mobile? I've had a grandfathered plan with them for about 15 years and i've put up with their mediocre service because it's cheap, but now i'm worried they've gotten up to something nefarious that i haven't heard about yet =/
I fired T-Mobile and before then I fired Sprint (back when they were their own company). Fuck the major carriers. If you want the same great service but pay less than ¼ than the majors charge, then go with an independent MVNO like Consumer Cellular. They offer the same services on the same networks
Credo Mobile. The socially conscious service that also donates monthly to multiple causes including LGBTQ+, BIPOC, women’s, and environmental. Great service, no contracts.
The just resell the big three. It’s all the same networks. And when you use a reseller like this, the networks throttle your bandwidth so you actually get less than if you just subscribed through the first company.
Thanks, planning my move away from T-Mobile and was looking for an alternative. They're losing a 20 year customer right here for associating with a wannabe dictator.
Their ad last night made me cackle like a feral witch. I live in a decent sized city, and had had Sprint for years. Then T mobile bought Sprint and I lost service at my house. So yes T-Mobile is 100% trash 🗑
if this is about starlink the chance of me ever needing a satellite to get a signal is damn near zero.
now, if it’s because you can’t get their home wireless where you live but they keep sending you an email to “check if it’s available” then yes fuck all the way off tmobile.
Left tmobile years and years ago bc I just hated them. And I went to sprint. We know how that went. I want to switch so bad now but I don't even know which way to go 😩

They’re working with the Nazi currently trying to dismantle the government.
Yeah fuck T-Mobile
Their annual report stated income in the multiple billions the prior year. I sent an apoplectic email and canceled.
