i think my most actual left leaning belief is that that there isn’t really an inherent relationship between markets and engineering efficiency. network effects are not the same thing as something being fit for a use case

Feels a bit not in the spirit of the thing, tho people like Thiel are definitely corrupting the game.
I hate it when people simply bite the bullet, it makes my position so much costlier to sustain.
Have wanted to be a writer since I was a child, but then discovered I quite like money and have optimized a bit more for that.
Perhaps I’ll return to that dream one day, after my prime earning years are over.
This is different from, “what can we do in our position of market dominance to prevent innovation from threatening”
He meant this as a good thing.
