Same! I pulled the color palette from the gopro descent videos, the rest was just developing some layer masks to generate color gradients. Really neat to see such close results through two different workflows!

Earlier this year I tried making my own colorization using the DDC images I color calibrated for my M20 EDL video (https://youtu.be/HHhyznZ2u4E). I merged the two image sets and then painted color on the missing areas.
It still needs a bit more work.

It's not quite as contrasted as my earlier version, because I realized that the LCAM images had no gamma applied to them before which made them darker than they should be.
