It's a running joke i have with my friends that I pretend to be Canadian when I travel abroad. I speak just enough French that I could easily convince someone too.
I usually just wear a Canadian pin, in 2016 we started wearing more identifying patches. 2020 we went back to the pin... heading to Scotland in May and unfortunately we will have the Canadian flag on everything. 😕
🤣😂
I can understand completely Ireland.
Americans voted irresponsibly & require supervision going forward.
When we send tRump over, can you please keep him?
Jokes aside, I advised my husband not to wear his Ralph Lauren jumper when we go overseas next week. Just cos . . . and we're Australian, and we've never thought about this before.
Was in the West of Ireland. In a tourist shop. The owner loudly proclaimed that DFG was horrible and asked how could Americans have voted for him. Most of the shoppers, myself included, shouted disapproval of DFG. Only one maga family expressed support. He was asked to leave.
Wonder how long it will take the EU and UK to require visas for visiting Americans? Because you know a bunch of us are gonna try and sneak in and stay…
Kinda weird because every pub in visited in Dublin this past summer locals couldn't understand why I wasn't supporting trump. I do admit that those locals were mostly male
I was planning on traveling overseas next year. Now I'm like "It'd be nice to see some National Parks. You know, before they're turned into drilling and mining operations."
There is a huge disconnect about where our food comes from. The average American is now 5 generations away from the farm. There was whining about the price of eggs. Eggs were high because there were huge losses due to avian flu. Supply and demand. Not sure what Biden was supposed to do about it.
I was in Ireland a couple months ago and got into a conversation with a young woman. She asked about the election. We asked how Ireland viewed it. She said "We're leaning away from Trump." Pause. "Leaning hard." Pause. "Leaning so hard we might tip over."

I'm in a deeply red state. It'll be a good time.
Oh! Sorry it’s just a precaution because of… well… you know
How embarrassing.
When will Canada remind us they don't allow people who have been convicted of a felony to enter?
Guess DJT won't be allowed in, sorta liking that on Canada's behalf.
Only positive about Trump win for me is no oligarchs moving to NZ.
I’m afraid our reputation has been damaged
We're a friggin laughing stock..

Quick tip: pretend you’re Canadian
Fortunately, Irish immigrants have given us at least a small bit of conservatism over the years.
(Reagan, William F. Buckley, et al)
“Ugly American” doesn’t cover it by half anymore.
So ashamed. 💔
Now, if I want to go see my sister, I have to wear a t-shirt everywhere that says I voted for her.
Where's the fashion in that?

I was asked by my best friend who lives in the U.K. what the hell is our malfunction.
I am too hurt to have a logically discussion at this time.
It’s more in sorrow than anger.
Also WTF
The UK had it too. (Brexit) and still does
We beg you.
