Fourth time this year without power. Eight days total. Each time because of wind. Come on PSE, bury the damn cables, rather than threading them through all these fragile trees.

I firmly believe PSE is just waiting until every tree tall enough to fall across the power lines has fallen, and then BOOM, nature will have solved the problem for them.
Are these accidental or on-purpose safety outages? I've had a few this year, both kinds, and I rejoice when they are accidental because I know I have a prayer of getting my power back within 8 hours.
'22 we were living in the Santa Cruz mountains (not far from where the tornado touched down yesterday) and we're without power 45/90 days at the start of the year.
I'm on Finn Hill. I got tired of screaming at PSE to bury their cable. I bit the bullet in November and got a generac installed. Served me well already...
i noticed some flickering too last night and we're also on PSE...have yet to get any power outages from the wind, but i heard some friends from redmond didn't have power for several days during the last bout of gusts a few weeks ago
Yeah we were out for 4 days back then. This one was very localised - tree went down over the cables just to our little block of 300 people. Just got power back, so about 20 hours out.
