Any large budget release in this genre just prints money for some reason.
Going to bet this thing is going to hit 500,000 concurrent views on twitch for a month, and then the playerbase just moves on to the next survival game.
Just kinda easy to make compared to other genres. They don't require much content or features, and players in the genre are somehow very okay with early access and a whole lot of jank.
Preach. The indie sphere is doing quite nicely with arcade racers, but I'd love to see some big-budget non-sim racing games. Where's our Project Gotham, Blur and Split/Second spiritual successors?
I just like anything where i can explore, and be creative.
I love seeing what i can build.
When i was younger i played with Legos a lot, so i think that plays into it a bit.
Honestly I'd be down with a more fun take on the concept. I loved the idea behind Horizon but it follows the now overdone PlayStation "prestige" serious third person template too closely. The visuals and world design are amazing but story does absolutely nothing for me. Let's see a different take.
