As someone who's parented a young person figuring things out, this article enumerates so many fears of my own.

I wanted to encourage them to be 100% authentic to everyone around them, but was painfully aware that that might well expose them to reams of awful shit.

Tough stuff for parents and kids.

I think my only 2 issues are the state of where things are at.

It won’t be a “slow” erosion; the erosion has already begun. Provinces like Alberta, Saskatchewan have already put plans in place.

As far as the BC Cons go, there is no “seem”, the cloth was never cut.

I think my question becomes is how does the public show its support of trans rights and hold politicians to account without seeing trans rights (or the rights of another group) as “nice to have” or “optional”.
