Right off the bat, this article gets "axe the tax" wrong. The price on carbon is a revenue neutral tax, with all funds collected returned to Canadians via quarterly payments. No one is asserting that ending carbon pricing will help make balancing the gov't books easier.

Not only the "algorithms", but the massive amount of content posted by anonymous agitators. Sometimes people, but often bots. I'm amazed how common it is to see fake content, shared by otherwise intelligent people. Biases work, and unrecognized, they are bad news for important subjects.

It's clear to me that the "right wing" popularity, is being fueled by false narratives, that are being perpetuated online by bad actors. Unregulated, as it is, I don't see how this gets balanced. There is an alternate reality cult that has grown, and too many haven't realized it yet. Frightening.
