It's expensive overall for anyone with respiratory issues! Working full-time as a teacher I could not afford my Advair even with insurance, so I went without. I got so sick, and only got it because a colleague paid for it out of kindness and care for me. No one should worry about paying for meds!

My cost for Fluticasone up 41% between the inhaler bought on January 13 and the one bought on March 13. It's not an insurance change.

Maybe that's a coincidence that the change in price happened right after the inauguration. I don't know. But it sure feels immediate.

We were denied three inhalers before we were approved one and the copay is $75 per month with moda ins. I kept asking the insurance company, after denials the cost would’ve been nearly $400 out of pocket, “this is an inhaler we are talking about?!!”

My inhaler used to be free but oddly since February when I needed a new one I now pay a $20 co pay. I know that’s not terribly expensive but I have 5 other meds and 3 of those were free before as well and now are $20 a piece. That is a lot per month. I wish every one of those who are responsible for this could have just one asthma attack to know what it feels like when you can't fill up your lungs. It is terrifying. I would have died without my inhaler as a kid. 😢
