But the West had a wall of Axis fortifications to get through all across the coasts of france & italy, against which they hurled bodies

There are thousands of Allied soldiers buried in Anzio, & it was all for nothing
The whole thing was just to distract the Germans

The real plan, as we know, was to sacrifice hundreds of thousands of soldiers lives in the D Day landing
Was it really worth it, when the USSR took Berlin?

But then the West would have risked losing power in Western Europe to "Communism"
To stop that, they let millions be slaughtered

To check Russian power in Europe, thousands of working class Europeans must be led to the slaughter in military campaigns reliant on unacceptable risks to human life
All so that the power of Western capitalist classes is assured
Fight against militarism!
