What is it about him that in your opinion disqualifies him? Be careful how you answer. He's a Rhodes scholar, regularly wipes the floor with the idiots on Fox News, is my age (I'm 42), and has some (admittedly not a lot) of executive experience.

Honestly? It is because he has a husband. There are a lot of closet homophobes that wouldn’t vote for a ticket he was on just because of that. It doesn’t matter what his policy is, how well spoken he is, or how good his performance has been. It is sad.
There are few additional voters who would turn out to vote because Pete Buttigieg was on the ticket. A VP who shores up a perceived weakness and helps more in a swing state is the usual tactic.
The boldest and funniest choice would be an anti-Trump Republican...
The last successful unity ticket was Lincoln/Johnson. It makes sense if you want to appeal to disenchanted people on the other side, or those who dislike the usual way politics go.
Who do you think would be a funny nomination? A reality TV star to counterbalance Trump?
It is a great way to motivate assassination attempts, as normally if you killed the president you would still have one of the same party, but if the candidate is "bold" enough to pick a Republican running mate you could flip the White House. It would be a remarkably stupid choice.
Also, how come no one EVER suggests the Republican candidate pick a Dem running mate for unity? Dems are the only ones expected to hamstring themselves for the other party. Just stupid shit.
One of the Dems's biggest weaknesses is messaging, & Pete is better at running rings around conservatives & flipping the media scripts than anyone else. Every Fox appearance is a bloodbath. So is an ideal surrogate in that regard
He moved to Michigan for family reasons, you cynical bastards, lol

Pete is a Republican who is smart enough to realize there is no place for him in that party as it exists. We can do better.

What's Mike Pence up to these days?
