My wife (who has managed ERs for many years) was trying to keep her cool reading all the headlines about the CEO and asked when someone was going to write a story about all the violence caused by insurance denials that happen to nurses and staff and doctors because patients can't get to the CEO

Sometimes the combination of arrogance and ignorance is breathtaking. Yes, US health care has high admin costs; that's because it relies so much on private insurers. Govt-run health insurance has much lower overhead

this is so perfect youve gotta think it was intentional

this is the equivalent of thinking that a magic 8ball is really talking to you

A key to understanding her is that none of this is posturing, or acting on bad advice, or mistaking a narrow demographic for the country as a whole, this is just who she is. This is how she acts with everybody regardless of their status, high or low, or their take on politics. She's true to herself.

leak the fucking report, you all have 473 reporters on speed dial, stop playing by rules nobody cares about and embarrass these people by any means necessary

I'm sorry but I don't think you can do "oh the Dems didn't talk about this one issue I love so that's why they lost" in *this* election, democracy was and is on the line, Trump is a horrible man who ran a horrible campaign, sometimes you have to just face the reality of the electorate being awful

I'm a broken record on this but a 2nd Trump presidency makes it even more important that big liberal cities become places that build enough housing to accept the internal & international migration they've been pricing out for decades

Voting locations in Georgia planned, with a court order, to stay open a little later since they had to close due to bomb threats that originated from “Russian email domains.” At the state & federal level the GOP is fighting the decision. Its core strategy is to make fewer votes count.

The big story tonight is Russia’s overt attack on America’s election - they didn’t even try to hide it - yet it’s being hugely underreported. This is a huge deal - a superpower intervention to help Trump win.

RESULT: Voters in Arizona have rejected Proposition 137, which would have ended judicial term limits and frozen its conservative supreme court in place.

Democracy!™️

And let me add what should be an obvious point: Democratic voting is being targeted by terrorist threats in, AFAIK, GA, MI, PA, and AZ. Some of the most Democratic places will delay reporting because Trump's friends have called in terrorist threats.

Time to boycott, bro-cut, Florida Florida's abortion rights measure failed to clear its required 60% threshold, DDHQ projects. The first post-Dobbs abortion measure not to pass, despite being supported by most Floridians. The state's 6-week ban will stay. 19thnews.org/2024/11/flor...

Re-upping this: the votes have been cast. The counts are just us discovering what has already happened.

I know the “unknown number” call is scary, but maybe answer it tonight, Nevada!!!

when you accidentally write the most pro-Kamala post of the election

Still looking for this. Anybody got a feed of all the real sickos who post stuff like "Exit polling in Redneck Holler, VA makes it hard to see a path for Trump?"

It's the 59th anniversary of the Voting Rights Act, which *would be an occasion to celebrate, but for the fact that the landmark legislation has been repeatedly sabotaged by the Supreme Court Voters of color are now less protected than they've been in decades ballsandstrikes.org/law-politics...

Any American followers who are strongly committed to the absolutist free speech culture of the US, I'm curious to know what you think of this. Do you agree with the prosecution and would there be any chance of this happening over there? news.sky.com/story/jordan...

Good morning to the person in Estonia who made this, I hope you have a good day

I’m told a prison near Birmingham is moving up 300 minor offenders for early release as part of an effort to make room for all the arrested rioters when they are sent down.
