As someone who is asexual, that is me with plenty of r18 comics and mangas. Really my biggest criticism is that I want these stories and characters to develop rather than just go straight to the sex. It makes plots with romance as a focus feel not earned when it’s just a one shot. Make it a series.

Oh totally. There are some that are just mildly smutty (like naked kissing or implied boinking) but then my main focus is on stuff like "These characters are cute!" or "Ooh, fun world building~". But then there are also R-18 comics that are fun to read AND hella horny and I feel blessed.
