It may work against the relative tranquility of BlueSky
I do think it's a gamble to set up the whole infrastructure for video, because the moment Twitter is unblocked, people will just flock back.
But they are clearly speeding up the implementation, and will take into consideration the... uh... 2-3 million new Brazilian accounts, when thinking infrastructure.
Are we getting video soon, though?
Video: a priority to us all.
But all joking aside, Bluesky shouldn't have been released without integrated video, allowed threads the head start they have.
Not from the fact it had video first 🥴
But I have videos to share and would like to do so here. However, in the absence of that ability, I also opened a Threads account.
And I'm a techy guy, I'm willing to invest the time in both, the same is not true for the general public.
No one thing gives them a headstart.
I'm on bluesky, there's no need for needless tribalism, we're on the same team.
But not getting funding for videos, will be a monsterous regret.
P.s. native hosting is not the only option. It's also the most expensive choice.
