Just got a pepper grinder, very exciting. I am wondering how to handle table pepper shakers. I used to fill it up with pre-ground stuff. Do you grind a batch and put it into the table shaker, separately buy the preground, or grind at table?

Pepe… need to toast peppercorns in nonstick skillet for approx 5 min, till pop and crackling.
Cool and grind with mortar and add to any dish for a bit of zest that’s not too hot..

Jon, I keep going to the store to get more peppercorns but they are always out of the big size bag. I then have to buy the small size bag which is way more expensive per unit volume. Please tell the store that I am mad and increasingly destitute
