My sister (in Essex) has a large back garden. She has allowed a fair bit to run wild. Lots of bugs, bees, and birds. FYI the water feature, big hit with the birdies.

So my garden isn't very big which means I'm limited but I have extended the flower bed this weekend to add some more insect friendly plants into it around the rowan tree i planted
Always good to have a wild patch in the garden. The longer I have left the area in the garden, the more insects I have seen.
Also the last visit to my parents in Fife, I brought back some plant seeds and dug up some 'weeds' that hopefully will do well. Saving money as well 🤣
My neighbours cut semi-circles at the lower section of their wooden fences, so 🦔 can travel safely between gardens. Broken wooden futon base will be made into some bird houses. Would make a bird table, but the crows are devious! So glad that the cat I used to have was useless at catching birds 🤣
If we all do a little it helps. Last year I was going out on my bike and I noticed an exhausted bumblebee in front of the bike. I had just learned on R4 to put my hand close by. I placed gloved hand down, said bee climbed aboard and I took them to a nearby flower.
