No point increasing the income. Companies will still just increase the prices. Note that it's only essentials, especially groceries, which are increasing in price. We desperately need a price freeze on essentials.

Worked in the media for over 35 years, since I was a teen. At 45, I was carried out of 2GB on a stretcher and diagnosed with Epilepsy. I continued to work full time until 2019. I still do some work, just from the safety of home but basically survive on JobSeeker (LifeSucker). Do I eat or pay rent?

First pic is of me after my first seizure, second is after my last six months ago. Epilepsy combined with COPD and a lack of oxygen, I hit the ground fast or in the first case a filing cabinet.

If you increase the rate a whole industry that benefits solely from people in poverty will lose out. They are powerful. Mutual obligations volunteering at 'charity' shops to receive your payment = shop gets free labour, donated goods and makes money. No poverty no profit. No poverty no need.
